During the spring break, most of people are play in some party , club, or relaxing in their house watch TV show, even people go traveling in some fantastic country and enjoy the air full of different culture. Besides, read some book may be a good choice also but my break is an exception in most of my friends. 11 days for spring break, I did not go any movie or fun activity because my family’s passports got stolen, we have to find a way to make it up as soon as possible, if we can’t make it, we have to wait until Chinese L.A consulate come to Saipan and the date is November which mean we have to stay here over summer vacation. This situation give our family such a hard time, Saipan is like a jail for us. We cannot go anywhere without passports, visiting Korea will be push to next year, all we can do seems like to wait until November.
That happen morning still can clear appear in my mind, we realize our laptop first and then our handbag got stolen when we woke up. Then my mum was more claims then me and told me I have to call the 911 and our close friends for help, before we never have this experience before and never even expect will really happen for us. Actually, cash and laptop are not as important as passports for us.
The reason we must wait until November is that, people who are going to make their passport has to come to the photo machine and there is no way to go L.A to take photo without passport for us. Our passports have been post on the newspaper, but it helps nothing in few days after, so we deicide do something make our situation more people widely known, just like make our own helping poster and hand out around our living area to those family which have possibility pick up our passports, also post those papers on the side of markets’ enters or some offices. We did resave some calls but most of people have no idea with it. In the last try, we decide to connect with Chinese consulate in L.A, hope they can do something with our passport. So far, we never think about give up about it, November such a dead day in my future and we will do our best for making up our passports. No double, people in consulate are busy to deal this kind of stuffs, our chances turns to very low, because we got ignore in the first time. During the time we connecting with Chinese consulates in L.A, we even went to the U.S supplication support centre and asking question there. We knew that no one can help us, so we just work on it by ourselves.
3 weeks later, the first day after school over spring break, mom told me people in L.A consulate accept our document, which mean we need to wait one more month to renew our passports and it is way better than we wait until November. After that process, I learn about the thing that looks like hard to reach and if people really try hard on it, everything can become true. My spring break is pain but experience.
