The most mermoriable literary hero

My most memorable literary hero I think is Sydney Carton; he is the hero in the book The Tale of Two Cities. He is a person that is able change from a cold bold to a great hero who can sacrifice himself to save his best lover. In the beginning of the story he trying to act like a person that does not care about anyone, and gets drunk all the time, his background was rich but the poor thing about him is that he has no friends. But when everyone not really be friend with him, the lady called Lucie Manette appears in his life, and give his warm feeling, which he think that he wants be love with her. But at this time, she already falling in love with another guy called Charles Darnay. Compare Charles and Sydney, they all great and brave hero, but in other side, Sydney is a person being more cold mind and intellect about dealing with problems. Especially when Lucie’s family gets into trouble in French, he would go risk himself into this war and use his life to bring the most happiness gift to his lover Lucie.
In this case, Carton’s love is valuable and is immeasurable, that is make the Carton become a hero of great love and even use his life to exchange the future of some else. The tuning points of his changing from a careless person to the people surround him to a hero that uses his whole life to satisfy his lover. Carton’s love is great, compare with the character in another great book Wuthering Heights, the main character Heathcliff because he cannot get his true love with this girl Catherine from high class family, he became a evil and destroy everything he think that was hurt him from the start. Because of Heathcliff’s evil decision to be a bad person, the ending is a big tragedy to all and him suffering from beginning till the end of death. Even though, in the book The Tale of Two Cities, the big hero dead, I still feel the hope from the ending of new birth of the Lucies’ family baby, which tactually get me a hint that the new burn of baby is way that the life continues of the hero Carton. The love can lead a great man to an evil or can change a useless man to a hero. In The Tale of Two Cites, Carton is the second man who successful saving of the family, in other words, the death of Carton is another way of himself release of this love tragedy. He feels only use his life to change the safe environments to Lucies’ family, can get everyone’s love back even though he cannot physic get back those love after he dead. From the beginning, the character Carton did not bring any surprise to the readers, but since he start to follow the whole family to French where is a very dangerous country in that time of setting, he bag himself to safe this family from the suffering.
In the end, he finally finger out the meaning of life and the best thing to do with his love, it is to scarify himself to the death, and make Lucie’s future full of peace and love.
